The Church is so important to Christ that He gave His life for her, for us. Therefore, His church must be important enough to us to carefully follow His instructions for her care and development.

The World Is Out of Focus

.......The values of our forefathers have been discarded for that which is probably best described as orderly anarchy. Truly this is a day and time when everyone is doing what is right in his own eyes (Judges 17:6). Many in the church have chosen to accept the wisdom of man instead of that which God has given us in His Word.

.......The Church in America is in trouble and has been for many years. Statistically speaking there is virtually no difference between Americans inside or outside the church regarding divorce, teen pregnancy, adultery and fornication, abuse of controlled substances, alcohol, levels of honesty (truly the lack thereof) and views toward homosexuality.

.......It is not surprising, therefore, to note little or no growth within The Church and few conversions. This has driven church leaders to program-oriented seminars and workshops in droves, trying to find out "what works." Books, audio and videotapes have inundated the market. A lot of money has been spent but there has still been no revival of The Church in America. Such a revival can only come with the moving of the Holy Spirit of God.

Pastors and Spiritual Leaders

........ . . are perhaps the most overburdened people in our society. God has called them to shepherd a flock which is increasingly rebellious. The temptation is to give spiritual leadership to those who "want to help" but are spiritually not equipped. It is too easy to let those with "natural talent" do the work instead of training up spiritual leaders. However, to accept anything but God's way, is not an option for pastors and congregational leaders. As such, they must learn and apply spiritual discernment in their leading. Biblical principles for spiritual discernment are taught by Life Focus Ministries.
